Providers //
Physical therapists receive a general education in the field of physical therapy. This education is medically based and generally covers the various areas of physical therapy such as orthopedics and neurology. Much like a medical doctor, physical therapists can achieve specializations in different areas of phsyical therapy including orthopedics, pediatrics, geriatrics, neurology as well as many other specializtions.
All physical therapists with Hood Healthcare LLC hold advaced certifications in the field of Renal RehabTM. This certification means that the physical therapist at each clinic understands the specific medical needs and limitations of individuals with kidney disease. In addition, all physical therapists with Hood Healthcare LLC hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
Choose Wisely //
As mentioned above all physical therapists have a medical education and are specialized in their field. Individuals with kidney disease have special medical needs when exercising. Make sure your provider is certified in Renal RehabTM.
For your safety, do NOT begin exercising on your own without clearance from your medical doctor and under the supervision of a qualified individual. A personal trainer at the local gym is NOT a qualified individual.
Certification //
All providers of Renal RehabTM must be certified with advanced training from Hood Healthcare LLC. If you are interested in certification and becoming a provider of Renal RehabTM please contact us.
Certified Renal RehabTM providers are required to complete specific continuing education on a regular basis to maintain their certification. Our professional continuing education courses are available to satisfy these requirements.
